Science and research are vital to the UK economy and ongoing support is needed to support growth.

Professor Sir Ian Diamond’s report on Efficiency, Effectiveness and Value for Money finds that the UK research community is on track to meet the overarching target of £428m in total savings, and advocates a new approach to deliver savings and improve the sustainability of the research base.
