Gareth is a qualified programme manager and librarian.  He has worked in higher education and parliamentary libraries and has also delivered policies and legislation in Welsh Government. Gareth manages the Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum programme to procure and implement a shared library management system across all universities in Wales, together with the National Library of Wales and the NHS Libraries in Wales.
